Findings of the pilot assessment “Look At Me” – A program aimed to increase appearance awareness of people with Intellectual Developmental Disability

 The field of self-cultivation and hygiene is a field that has not been brought up for discussion before, yet it is an intuitive issue that close to everyone
The pilot of the program “Look at Me” is an initial one in its field. the main focus of this program is to raise the awareness of appearance improvement of people with Intellectual Developmental Disability
The program operated in two parallel channels
One on a national steering committee that accompany the project and discuss the dress code for people in the age group 21+ staying in rehabilitation work factory
Second, workshops that were designed and brought for learning, to a sample of pre-selected rehabilitation work factories in Rehovot, Ashdod and Or Yehuda, by the coordinator of the program, Ruti Treves
The workshops were designed in accordance with three populations –the professional staff, people with intellectual development disabilities and families to people with intellectual development
